
Next week, T-Mobile is going to reward customers who use their T-Mobile Tuesdays app with free data for playing Pokémon Go. In other words, you’ll be able to catch ‘em all without it counting towards your data plan.
- You need to use the T-Mobile Tuesdays app on July 19th to claim the free data usage, which will last through August 2017. The app features free rewards once a week, like shopping discounts or free ice cream at Wendy’s. [T-Mobile via John Legere]
- In other news, Twitch is switching to a new HTML5 video player and ditching Flash. The new player is currently in a closed beta with paying Turbo users but will eventually be the default player for the popular video game streaming site. [Kotaku]
- Google is hosting an indie gaming festival this September in San Francisco. They’re currently taking submissions for Android games that are developed by 15 people or less to be featured at the festival. It’s currently called Indie Games Festival, a clever play on “independent games festival.” [The Verge]
- Periscope now has a curated selection of streams called Editors’ Picks. They won’t always be live, but rather will feature notable moments you might have missed. [Twitter via TNW]
